The Motogadget Motoscope Mini display is an extremely small, digital motorcycle instrument. The LED display we specially developed for this purpose is unique in the field of instruments. 251 ultra-bright LEDs form an almost borderless, easy-to-read display area that can be used entirely to display the display values. Only this innovative, complex technology enables a maximum display area with minimum housing dimensions.

With its very simple, elegant design and high-quality appearance, the motoscope mini goes with almost any two-, three- or four-wheeler. It can support the styling in an exposed place, but it can also be integrated unobtrusively and ‘clean’ – the mini makes everything possible!

Casing

The high-quality aluminum housing of the Motogadget Motoscope mini display is CNC milled from the solid aluminum. The highly polished variant has its own appeal. The electronics are completely sealed in the housing and are therefore immune to weather, water, dust and vibration.

Display And Features

The innovative dot matrix made up of 251 ultra-bright LEDs shows the speed using a scalable, horizontal light strip and all other functions as a numerical value that is easy to understand. The speed can also be called up as a numerical value at the push of a button. In order to achieve optimal readability in the dark, in the sun and at dusk, the luminosity of the LEDs is automatically adjusted. A speed value can be entered for the limit range of the permissible speed (‘red area’) or as a shift light function. When this value is exceeded, all LEDs light up pulsing at the same time.

The highlight: the display of the motoscope mini can show the numerical values not only from left to right, but also from top to bottom. Therefore, the instrument can also be mounted upright!

Operation

You can switch between the displays with the supplied menu button or, for example, the headlight flasher button on the handlebars. The default reading on the display is the speed value. If required, the other measured values can be called up on the display by briefly pressing a button. Optionally, it can be set that the display automatically returns to the speed value after a short time or that a certain display is permanently set.

Of course, presetting’s or saved values remain saved even without a power supply.

Mounting

Due to its very small dimensions, the motogadget motoscope mini can be easily attached to almost any vehicle. Standing alone on the fork bridge or on the handlebars, in existing instrument panels or embedded in the tank or GRP – the instrument can be integrated anywhere. We offer various suitable universal brackets for assembly as well as type-specific solutions such as Buell (TM) or Harley-Davidson (TM) at. See under assembly

Connection And Sensors

The simple wiring and detailed installation and operating instructions make it possible to connect the instrument even for users who have not previously dealt with vehicle electronics.

The supplied speedometer sensor made of stainless steel is very small (M5/25 mm). With the 1.5 m long connection cable, it can be easily attached to the front or rear wheel. Even vehicles with an original mechanical speedometer drive can be easily converted with it.

The Motogadget motoscope mini display is compatible with many original speedometer sensors (reed contact and proximity sensors) from vehicle manufacturers. In this case, only connections are connected and the mechanical installation of a sensor becomes superfluous.

An intelligent ‘teach function’ makes it easy to calibrate the speedometer – even on vehicles with sensors on the transmission

To make the installation of the Motogadget motoscope mini easier on newer (2004 and up) Harley-Davidson models with CAN Bus technology look at the motogadget m-Can adapter.

To connect the motogadget motoscope mini to one of the newer Triumph Twin or Triple models with CAN Bus technology check out the m.TRI from motogadget in the m.gadget section. Choose your model and year.
